What an encouragement. We might point out...Kerry...<br />What an encouragement. We might point out people in our live who were "strong", charismatic, and over the top example. Yet, your blog reiterate for me that a heart turned towards the Lord, imperfect as it is, can speak volumes as well.<br />I too have recovered from alcoholism and so I understand your dad on a certain level.<br />I have often said, if the Body of Christ would use the Steps of the AA Program...there would be a lot of accountability, humility and gratefulness. It's like at the meetings, you meet at a common ground with the first step. I am powerless over alcohol(anyone can add anything they have thought they were in control of) and my life ha become unmanageable . The other thing I always felt was a very strong component is the fact that you were not allowed to wear masks ( you would be called on it)<br />So from one imperfect mom to another...we must rely on God's grace to right the wrongs or fill in the blanks that we have left.<br />I DO think you are a good mom though ...more than you realize God bless you LindaLinda Maynardnoreply@blogger.com
